Burna Boy, Davido Featured In Late Pop Smoke’s Album

Naija artiste are making us proud in the world music as they steadily get featured in several  hits in the world music market.

Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 251,000 equivalent album units, making Pop Smoke the first rapper to posthumously debut at No. 1 with his debut album.

 

In addition to the 19 original tracks, there are 15 new songs including collaborations with Jamie Foxx, Fivio Foreign, Burna Boy, Queen Naija, Davido, A Boogie wit Da Hoodie, PnB Rock, and more. “Paranoia,” which features Young Thug and Gunna, was supposed to feature Pusha-T, but he was removed after Young Thug called him out for dissing Drake on his verse.

 

On February 19, 2020, It was reported that Pop Smoke was shot and killed during what looked like a robbery in his Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles home. 

 

Meanwhile, the investigation into his murder continues. Last week, four people were charged in connection with the Feb. 19 home invasion killing. Two of them could face the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted.

 

On June 8, 2020, a Twitter handle @MusicRature posted that Burna Boy and Davido were set to feature on Pop Smoke’s posthumous album. It also posted that Burna Boy would feature on a song titled, ‘Drink Freely.’

 

In, Fivio Foreign, Burna Boy, Queen Naija, Davido, A Boogie wit Da Hoodie, PnB Rock, and more. “Paranoia,” which features Young Thug and Gunna, was supposed to feature Pusha-T, but he was removed after Young Thug called him out for dissing Drake on his verse.

 

While Burna Boy and Davido didn’t appear on the original Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon, a deluxe version of the album was released earlier today, July 20, 2020. The album Davido on a song titled, ‘Tsunami’ while Burna Boy features on ‘Enjoy Yourself (Remix).’

A few weeks ago, the deluxe album also caused a rift between Pusha T and Atlanta rapper, Young Thug after Pusha T appeared to take shots at Drake on a song that also features Young Thug and Gunna. Pusha T consequently asked his manager, Steven Victor to remove his verse from the album.
